My radio career started by hosting a weekly sports show in HAZLET, NEW JERSEY on “SOLID GOLD WCNJ” 89.9 FM in 1995. At the same time I was hired to provide my voice for voice-over work for RESEARCH EDUCATION ASSOC. in New Brunswick, NJ. English as a second language for businessmen from Europe & Asia.
I moved to Las Vegas in 1997. Since then I have done Public Service Announcements for KIWANIS INTERNATIONAL and THE FOUNDATION FOR POSITIVELY KIDS in Las Vegas.
Sports came knocking again. I had the opportunity to provide color commentating for JR. GOLDEN GLOVES BOXING CHAMPIONSHIPS in Mesquite, NV, July 2008. I was part of a new team that launched “THE SPORTS ZOO” sports-talk radio show on KLAV-1230AM in Las Vegas from October 19th, 2008-September 26, 2009.
The opportunity came to have “THE SPORTS ZOO” air on the local Fox Sports affiliate on FOX SPORTS RADIO 920-KBAD, LAS VEGAS from September 26th 2009-February 2010.
While final production was wrapping on The Sports Zoo, Ricky Cash & I started developing a new show idea about keeping Las Vegas in a positive light by talking about all that Las Vegas offers but not on The Strip. The kind of things that would make you say, “I DIDN’T KNOW THAT ABOUT LAS VEGAS?”
On March 13th, 2009 Vegas Unwrapped Internet Radio Show debuted and in 2010 became VEGAS UNWRAPPED PRODUCTIONS, LLC.
I was recently the play by play voice of the Vegas Kings Minor League Football Team, Part-time announcer for the Fabulous Sin City Roller Girls, Co-host and producer for the Tony Martini: My 50 Year Journey Show, Co-Producer for A House Party Tonight with Don Hill, co-emceed Relay for Life and more. In 2013 Cash & I also added Beauty Pageants to our resumes as we were co-emcees, broadcasted pageants on the internet or interviewed them on the show.
I am also the author for Bandwidth Banter which is my blog about the “ins and outs” and my experiences about Internet Radio. It can be found at www.bandwidthbanter.net.
